A Message to our members on COVID-19

Dear Five of Nine Club Members,

We hope that this message reaches you well, we are living in unprecedented times and we really do
wish you and your families the health and security to make it through.
As you will no doubt be well aware all activity within Freemasonry has been suspended for four
months and that includes Club activities, whilst we had a number of events planned for the summer
recess these will now have to be deferred until it’s safe to resume, we know that you all understand
and support this decision.

The Clubs Committee recently held an emergency committee meeting (via video conferencing) to
discuss the impact of COVID-19 on club activity and also the impending “changing of the guard” with
the election of a new Chairman and his team.

We have been staunchly supported by three excellent masons since our inception in various roles
within the organisation of the Club. W Bro Carey Burke; Chairman, Bro Dan Norman; Deputy
Chairman who has been Acting Chairman for some months and Bro Warwick Wakefield; Membership
Secretary who are all moving on to take up demanding personal projects. We really cannot thank
them enough. The level of continued support to the Club and the Province of Warwickshire that
these three young masons have devoted has been a huge contributor to the Clubs success. We really
cannot say thank you enough. We wish you all the very best of luck with your new and exciting
projects.

We’re delighted to announce that a well-known young Warwickshire Freemason W Bro James Dalton
ProvAGDC will be taking over as Chairman of the Club and he will be in touch soon with details of his
team and his plans for the future, exciting times for sure.

As part of our commitment to you where we have been unable to fulfil our promises on recent and
planned events or where many of you may have recently renewed your membership or even just
joined the Club, we are going to extend everyone’s membership until October 2021. You do not have
to do anything to activate this, we will be in touch with you directly.

The Club retains the support of our Patron RW Bro David F Macey ProvGM, President W Bro Peter P
Manning AProvGM and Vice President W Bro David A Butcher ProvGMentor who are keen to see Five
of Nine and its membership take an active part in the keeping our brethren enthused and up to date
with everything #Freemasonry during our suspension as well as some other key developments which
you will hear about soon.
