Coventry Panto
Since 2010 Coventry Freemasons have hosted a private Christmas Pantomime Show to approximately 500 children from 12 local schools in Coventry with additional physical or socio-economic needs and their care providers. This year it takes place on Wednesday 6th December 2023 at the Standard Triumph Working Men’s Club in Canley, Coventry.
We put this event on each year to bring the magic of pantomime to those children who for their specific circumstances, would not be able to get access to watch it at a conventional theatre setting.
As you can imagine it takes a huge amount of time and resources to make this worthwhile event happen. So, we need your help. We need volunteers to help us the night before on the 5th December to fill up 500 goodie bags, blow up balloons and set up the room. On the day, we are looking for help from 8.30am onwards.
We stage two performances to accommodate as many children as possible, one at 10.00am and one from 1pm. We normally finish clearing up at around 4.00pm. The sorting and collating of the goody bags and the setting up is all done the night prior and is a major masonic fellowship event in which we hope for help from at least 20 plus Freemasons from different Lodges.
Donations are also very welcome as it does cost upward of £6000 each year to put on, and it cannot be done without the help and support from Warwickshire Freemasons.
